How rankings work
Within each metro and job type (testing or removal), companies are ordered by their Google rating, weighted by how many reviews they have: until a company has about ten reviews, its score is pulled toward an average of 4.5 stars, so three five-star reviews can't outrank two hundred reviews at 4.8. Only companies with a current Texas mold license appear at all.
Money never changes a ranking
Companies can't pay to move up. If we later sell featured placements, they will be labeled Sponsored and shown separately from the ranked list.
Sources
License facts come from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Legal statements cite the statute or rule they rely on. Cost figures name their source and date.
